SFS ( Single – Fiber –Strand ) versions of the H.CON versions make it a superb solution for FTTH deployment. This series is based on FibroLAN’s BMD technology (layer 2 MC). The device converts 10/100Mbps signals from its RJ45 ports to 100Mbps (100Base-FX) on its F/O port and extends them up to 40km. Its TP port operates at auto-negotiation mode allowing connection to any type of Ethernet or Fast Ethernet device, disregarding it’s duplex mode. The F/O port is set by default to 100Mbps FDX, ensuring maximal distance over the F/O link . It is available with a variety of F/O connectors both single and dual fiber strand. It’s diagnostics (3LEDs/5 Functions) make its installation and maintenance an absolute success. Whenever the extensive diagnostics and port setting of the S.CON1 are not a must, the H.CON offers a lower cost solution with similar quality. The H.CON series forms the basic CPE solution for FTTx networks.

100BaseTX to 100BaseFX F.CON series

The F.CON1 – as other conventional 100BaseTX/100BaseFX media-converters is based on direct conversion. In FDX mode, the FCON.1 assures 2km distance with multi-mode fiber (more for the single-mode fiber models). Single-mode (up to 70km) models are available as well as interfaces with MTRJ and VF45 connectors.

10BaseT to 10BaseFL - CTF series

The CTF Media Converters extend the span and life of 10Mbps Networks. By converting 10Base-T traffic to 10Base-FL, the CTF1 extends Ethernet networks up to 3,500m (in FDX mode) over multi-mode- fiber and up to 40 km over single-mode-fiber. The device transparently supports HDX and FDX modes of operation.

Local Traffic Aggregators - LTA series

This device –with its 4 TP ports (10/100 auto-negotiating) and one 100Base-FX port, provides an ideal solution for both FTTD (Fiber-To-The-Desk) and FTTH (Fiber-To-The-Home) networks. The traffic from the TP ports is aggregated into the fiber link, blocking connectivity between the users, literarily bring the port of the corporate (or access) switch close to the users. This results in direct and immediate saving of almost 75% from the cost of entire network (active, passive and labor). Further saving is achieved by deploying an SFS models which requires only 1 fiber for full bi-directional traffic. The device features auto-cross RJ-45 ports, extensive diagnostics and an array of set-up DIP switches (all located on the front panel) for easy and trouble free installation and maintenance. The managed version (LTA31M), in addition to remote management, provides tagged VLAN support needed for multi-media users.

Dual Link Access -DLA series

The DLA22 is a powerful and most versatile device designed for a variety of Fiber-Optic Access and Media Conversion applications. It features 2 Fiber ports (SC or others) and 2 TP (RJ45) ports for connection of local stations or LANs. It utilizes FibroLAN’s unique and most successful BMD™ (Buffered Media Domain) technology to facilitate unprecedented Fiber-Optic distances (up to 150km) independent from the nature of the local networks. It’s flexible architecture, enhanced by factory set VLANs allows its deployment as a Media Converter with a redundant link (fast recovery) and single mode to multi mode applications. The DLA22 may also be deployed as an access device in a ADM (add-and-drop) architecture in ring or string topologies. The powerful FEF (Far End Fault) mechanism implemented provides true- link indication and alerts user of any failure of both incoming and outgoing links. The compact yet robust enclosure allows installation as desk-top, wall-mounting ,shelf mounting (2 units on one 19” shelf) or directly in a Half 19” rack. All DLA22 models are available in SNMP in-band managed versions.

Universal ( Fast Ethernet, and ATM/OC3 ) Multi mode to Single mode MC - U.CON series

Most of the high speed networking devices (such as ATM or Fast-Ethernet switches) are available with only multi-mode fiber-optic ports. Other devices – when offered with Single-Mode fiber interfaces are very expensive and not flexible in use. The U.CON series provides the network designer with a flexible, cost effective and trouble-free tool for network extension. A U.CON is an universal, protocol transparent device, converting digital signals ranging up to 155Mbps from multi-mode to single mode fibers and distances of up to 150km . Being transparent, their deployment is easy and does not require any settings or measurements. The device is protocol independent for the specified transmission speed however it is delivered qualified for the 2 most popular standards in this range: ATM/OC3 (U.CON1A) or 100Base-FX (U.CON1F). Products may be ordered with both F/O ports Single-Mode fiber to be used as network extenders or wavelength converters.

Gigabit Ethernet Converters and Extenders - GSM1000 series

This series provides conversion from a fiber-optic multimode GBE link (1000Base-SX) or from 1000Base-TX to a Single Mode Long Reach Link (1000Base-LX) to allow extension of up to 80km. This approach is the most flexible and economical way to build GBE networks: by purchasing low cost network elements (NICs and switches) terminated with RJ-45 or SX interfaces, and adding the exact number of GSM links (of required distances) up to 50%% (sometimes even more) of the network cost may be saved. Unlike other products available in the market, the GSM series is based on a full digital technology: Signals from one F/O port are converted to digital electrical signals, fully retimed then converted again to F/O transmitted from the second port. This design provides a resilient and steady conversion and advanced control and diagnostic features. In addition it facilitates special applications like daisy-chaining, back-to-back and management. It is transparent to duplex mode. The Fault Propagation Function between the ports allows real time end-to-end link failure alert. A Loop-Back function (separate for each F/O port) simplifies troubleshooting of link problems. Each port provides separate Link and Activity indications for enhanced diagnostics. The GSM are available with full SNMP management.

Non IEEE802.3x miscellaneous Converters

The FC32 series allows extension of standard RS232 links (up to 115.2Kbps) to very large distances (up to 150km) over fiber. This is achieved by translating the incoming RS232 signal (via a DB9 connector) to a very high bit rate, then converted to an optical signal over m/m or s/m fiber. FC32 devices must be deployed in pairs. SFS (Single-Fiber-Strand) models are available upon request.

Low Cost 100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Converters

This compact device provides the basic functions of 100Base-TX/FX Media Conversion. It allows network extension over m/m fiber of 2000m. It is transparent to HDX/FDX transmissions. Furthermore, it generates “FDX advertising” signals to force maximal performance on other – even non managed – network elements, thus enhancing overall network performance. The C100 is equipped with an external AC power adaptor. It is suitable for both desktop or wall-mount installation; a 5 LED/7function display is easily visible in both modes of installation. Dual RJ-45 connectors (straight and crossed) further simplify installation by allowing all UTP connections to be made using only a common straight UTP cable.
